With AEW’s major TV rights deal with Warner Brothers Discovery set to kick off in January 2025, speculation has been mounting about additional partnerships AEW might be exploring. One of the biggest rumors has involved a potential collaboration between AEW and Fox, with whispers about a new show called AEW Shockwave. While that deal’s status remains uncertain, AEW has officially inked a deal with a Fox affiliate, though not in the region many expected.
In an announcement released on X (formerly Twitter) and AEW’s website this afternoon, Fox Sports Mexico confirmed a long-term TV rights agreement with AEW. The deal includes airing Dynamite, Rampage, Collision, and a new Monday night program titled All Elite Show, along with all AEW pay-per-views. This partnership is set to begin with the broadcast of AEW WrestleDream this Saturday, though the exact start date for regular AEW TV programming hasn’t yet been specified.
Fox Sports Mexico, a premium channel, has been the home for WWE programming in Mexico since 2014, broadcasting shows like Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and Main Event. However, this partnership is set to conclude by the end of 2024, as WWE transitions all of its international programming to Netflix under its new TV rights deal with the streaming giant. It’s unclear whether AEW content will air on Fox Sports Mexico before WWE’s exit, or if the channel will wait for WWE’s programming to end before starting AEW broadcasts.
This marks a significant expansion for AEW into the Mexican market and further strengthens the company’s international presence, as it builds on its existing relationships and prepares for a new era of growth in 2025.
